First Home Insurance Company (FHIC) is a Florida domiciled insurance company based in Maitland, Florida. The company was established in May of 2005 and commenced operations with the assumption of 24,880 policies from Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (“Citizens”), Florida’s state-run insurer.

In October 2007 after acquiring additional capital FHIC began writing new business in Florida. With over $50 Million in capital we have the ability to protect Florida homeowners and their property.
