First Home Insurance Company (FHIC) is a Florida domiciled insurance company based in Jacksonville, Florida. The company was established in May of 2005 and commenced operations with the assumption of 24,880 policies from Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (“Citizens”), Florida’s state-run insurer.

In October 2007 after acquiring additional capital FHIC began writing new business in Florida. With over $50 Million in capital we have the ability to protect Florida homeowners and their property. We pride ourselves in being able to offer an exceptional product with prices that are fair and competitive. You will receive quality service from our Underwriters, Customer Service and Claims staff.

FHIC offers Homeowners, Dwelling Fire and Condominium coverage throughout the state of Florida and our financially sound innovative program has received an “A” (Exceptional) rating from Demotech. First Home has a comprehensive and substantial reinsurance program, in addition to the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund which provides all our policyholder with added protection for their property.
